How to throw a cocktail party.

The Painters Place 2014 Christmas Seminar was held on November 26th, at the Oakville Golf & Country Club. One of our designers Christine Flack created two beautiful urns for the front using fresh greenery, some gold.

• It's a really good idea to decorate a tree or two out in the front yard. We did simple mesh bows and larger ornaments to scale the size of the tree.
• Then we explained how important it was to take the same theme and elements into your house. Featuring a buffet table where we used mesh and strings of led lights to give a feel of elegant brilliance.
• The table was decorated with wood chips and simple gold frames to indicate what was being served.

By creating height it made it more interesting we also created a great centre piece and called it mystic mistletoe it was a round bowl with Holly in circles inside with water and a flowing Flameless candle that activates once it's placed in liquid. Then we created glitter ball clusters. That we hung from our candlers that you could hang from newel on the stairs. Then we moved on to our mantel. We did rustic elegant Christmas trees as a trio. We had led lights underneath to light them up. We carried over the gold frames and we did some stars and some glitter wreaths. This year we introduced a charity Art House. And we created two organize trees where people could buy ornaments to donate as well as 10 percent of purchases went to the charity as well. we raised 1,000 dollars for Art House. There will eventually be a half an hour video sent your way to be posted. "Rustic Elements" was our theme. Beautiful set of birdcages and our be flame less candles. That look like they're dripping an icicle. Then she created a lovely box wood wreath and implemented a really cute blank "days until Christmas" chalk board sign.
